“I've been drawing and painting since I could hold a pencil and a brush. I have had consistent issues with the tendons in my right wrist, hardly able to grip things that were over ten pounds. I resigned myself to living with it; art is my career, what else was I supposed to do?
Sam told me she could, at the very least, give me stretches and exercises to prevent it from getting any worse, and at best, regain the strength. I was skeptical yet hopeful. She got back to me in a day with a set of stretches to reduce the swelling over time. I did those stretches every morning and every night for weeks until my wrist was finally able to complete everyday tasks again - like carrying groceries or even holding a glass of water - without shaking like a leaf. I can also paint for longer periods of time without having to worry about how sore I'll be during the night.
Sam didn't just prevent my wrist from getting worse, she actually found a way to help it heal, something I'd given up on. I have no doubt my wrist would've given out and left me unable to work if she hadn't showed me how to strengthen and take care of it.”
